WHAT IS IPM?

Integrated Pest Management (IPM) is a structured, prevention-focused approach to managing pest risk through inspection, identification, prevention and ongoing management.

Rather than automatically beginning with treatment, IPM looks at why pest activity is occurring — including access points, hygiene, moisture, environmental conditions, building features and other factors that may be supporting pest activity.

The aim is to reduce pest pressure at its source and determine the most appropriate next action, which may include prevention, environmental changes, monitoring or targeted treatment where required.
